Minerva is the ancient Roman goddess of war, wisdom, art, music, commerce and education.

Her helmet is wrapped in the laurel leaf of victory.

She is facing the olive branch of peace which is covering the arrows of war.

Behind her are the star and stripes of the flag of the United States of America.

Above her are the stars in the constellation, depicting military women’s presence and gallantry in every part of the universe.

Beneath her is the banner of the magnificent state of Colorado and the beautiful Rocky Mountains.

She is surrounded by the words “Women Veterans of Colorado” who have proudly served our nation in all parts of the world and in all of our wars, past, present and future.

We salute our women in the active military, Reserve, Guard and veterans of all eras.

We thank them for their service to keep this nation free and our communities secure.
